We provide a 10 year warranty on all of our jobs against water on top of the new vapor barrier, or pooling under the vapor barrier. Condensation is normal, and that is why having a Vapor Barrier is a Building Code. On a couple of our jobs, my crew has had to return to a job for warranty. We have had "singular areas" turn up “between our network of trenches” that needed an extra trench but we have never had a job with "standing water throughout" the whole crawlspace. We ask for people to check the GFCI every Fall going into the rainy season, and lift the lid to make sure the pump is functioning by pouring a bucket of water into the sump or running a garden hose into the sump to activate the pump. If the water ever covers the top of the pump it is important to call us to investigate.
